Eckhause, Melissa M.
Melissa M. Eckhause
Assistant Professor of Law and Co-Director of the Arts & Entertainment Law Clinic, received her B.B.A. from the University of Wisconsin, her J.D. from the University of òòò½ÎÑÊÓÆµ School of Law, and her LL.M. from the University of California Berkeley School of Law. She joined the University in 2020 as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Law. In 2022, she was promoted to Assistant Professor of Law. She previously taught at the University of Southern California, Golden Gate University School of Law, and Texas A&M University School of Law. Her research lies at the intersection of technology, intellectual property law, and art, and focuses on the rights of visual artists, musicians, and other creators in the digital age.

Eisenhauer, Joseph G.
Joseph Eisenhauer
Dean, College of Business Administration and Professor of Economics, earned a B.S. from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania, as well as M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from the State University of New York at Buffalo. A former banker, he has been a Post-Doctoral Fellow at the Wharton School, a Visiting Professor at the Universita di Roma, La Sapienza in Italy, and a Visiting Scholar at the Catholic University of America. He has published extensively in the areas of risk and insurance, ethics, social economics, and statistics. Prior to joining òòò½ÎÑÊÓÆµ, he was chair of Economics at Wright State University in Ohio. He joined the University in 2010.

Eisenstein, Julia L.
Julia L. Eisenstein
Associate Librarian, Reference, McNichols Campus Library, provides reference service and research skills instruction. Eisenstein is responsible for collection management in the areas psychology, religious studies, catholic studies, counseling, and decision science. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Loyola University of Chicago, a Master of Arts in Psychology from Boston University, and a Master of Library and Information Science from Wayne State University. Eisenstein joined the University in 2008.

Elmoursi, Alaa
Alaa Elmoursi
International Cohort Instructor of Electrical and Computer Engineering, teaches at the Detroit Green Technology Institute a collaboration between òòò½ÎÑÊÓÆµ and Hubei University of Technology, Wuhan, China. He has over thirty years of industrial experience working at three fortune 500 companies: General Motors, Delphi and Eaton Corporation. His areas of expertise include applied electrostatics, surface engineering, coating technologies, nanomaterials, and additive manufacturing. He received his Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Cairo University, Cairo, Egypt and his Ph.D. from University of Western Ontario, London, Ontario, Canada. He served as Special Lecturer at Oakland University, Electrical and Computer Engineering between 2018 and 2021 before joining òòò½ÎÑÊÓÆµ in the Fall of 2021.

Ericson, Karl A.
Karl A. Ericson
Assistant Librarian Reference, McNichols Campus Library, provides reference service and research skills instruction. Ericson is responsible for collection management in the areas of accounting, addiction studies, African-American studies, sociology, social work, and women's and gender studies. He holds a Master of Library and Information Science from Wayne State University and a Bachelor of Science from Grand Valley State University. Ericson joined the University in 2012.

Eshelman, Lee
Lee Eshelman
Assistant Professor of Psychology and Director of the Master of Arts Program in Clinical Psychology, teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in psychology. Eshelman holds a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Miami University. She completed an APA accredited clinical psychology internship at University of Wisconsin – Department of Psychiatry and a postdoctoral fellowship in Women’s Health with the University of Michigan Medicine/VA Ann Arbor Consortium. Eshelman is the director of the Trauma, REsilience, and Empowerment (TREE) Lab at University of òòò½ÎÑÊÓÆµ. Broadly, her research program focuses on understanding the impact of trauma on emotion regulation and psychological outcomes such as posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and substance use. Eshelman's current program of research examines how individual, cultural and societal factors influence outcomes of interpersonal trauma. Her current projects include understanding how Black women’s experiences of interpersonal trauma and racism-related stressors influence mental health outcomes, help-seeking behaviors, disclosure and resilience. Recently completed research projects examine how PTSD influences emotion regulation abilities among survivors of sexual violence and how men’s experiences of sexual abuse influence mental health and perceptions of their own masculinity. Eshelman maintains collaborations with researchers at other institutions in related areas (e.g., trauma among sexual minority women, interpersonal violence and suicidal behaviors, military sexual trauma, etc.). She joined the University in 2019.

Evans, Kendra
Kendra Evans
Professor, Chemistry and Biochemistry, earned a B.S. in Chemistry from Western Kentucky University (2003) – where she also completed the B.A. in Music Program – and a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Michigan (2009). She joined the faculty at the University of òòò½ÎÑÊÓÆµ in 2009. Evans teaches undergraduate lecture and laboratory courses in quantitative analysis, instrumental analysis, and general chemistry. Her research interests are broad and include applications in bioanalytical chemistry, environmental chemistry, science education, and undergraduate student success. Her bioanalytical and environmental chemistry projects include liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry-based toxicology and metabolomics analyses in various biological samples. Evans is also interested in the development, implementation, and assessment of course-based undergraduate research experiences, learning more about what facilitates the development of science identity, and evaluating the impact of research enrichment activities for undergraduate students. Evans is actively engaged in her professional societies. She serves as the Vice President of Anachem (Association of Analytical Chemists) and assists on the Anachem Symposium Program Committee, Registration Committee, and the Website and Communication Committees. Additionally, she has served on three American Chemical Society (ACS) exam committees and has served as Chair for a First-Term General Chemistry ACS Exam Committee. Further, Evans was the University of òòò½ÎÑÊÓÆµ Research Enrichment Core Leader for the National Institutes of Health (NIH)-sponsored ReBUILDetroit Program and is currently Co-director of the NIH-funded I-RISE with U-RISE Program at òòò½ÎÑÊÓÆµ. Evans is also Co-director of the Office of Undergraduate Research in STEM and Graduate Opportunities (OURS+GO) at òòò½ÎÑÊÓÆµ. Evans was awarded the Anachem Fellow Award in 2014, the University of òòò½ÎÑÊÓÆµ Science Faculty of the Year Award in 2015, and the University of òòò½ÎÑÊÓÆµ Faculty Achievement Award in 2015.
